Our custom-built printmaking workshop includes 820 square
feet of studio space. An adjacent 230 square foot gallery hosts monthly exhibitions
of work produced in the studio by our Artist Members.
DPW advocates investigation into both traditional processes, (intaglio, relief,
collagraph and monotype) and new non toxic printmaking methods.
The studio is equipped with a Charles Brand etching press, 26 x 48" (66
x 122 cm), a Takach-Garfield etching press, 40 x 79" (102
x 200 cm), a Praga etching press, 18.5 x 30" (47
x 76 cm), and two small type and block presses. Additional equipment
includes a 22 x 36 inch (56 x 91 cm) hot plate,
26 x 48 inch (66 x 122 cm) paper soaking sink,
aquatint box capable of accepting plate sizes up to 24 x 28 inch (61
x 71 cm), acid booth, drying racks, and inking slabs.
