Betty Jean Drummond 1920 - 2004 |
Dundarave Print Workshop members were greatly saddened by the passing of Betty Jean Drummond in August, 2004. Born in Trochu, Alberta in 1920, Betty Jean graduated from the Ontario College of Art and pursued postgraduate work with James Pinto in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and Ian McIntosh at the Vancouver School of Art. She exhibited her print works with the Canadian Society of Graphic Arts, Painters, Etchers and Engravers, Calgary Graphics Annual, Canadian Printmakers Showcase, Ottawa, The Print and Drawing Council of Canada, Dundarave Print Workshop and B.C. Printmakers Showcase, Burnaby, BC. Betty Jean's work is represented in the following collections: Volvo of Canada, The Atlantic Institute of Education, Pan Canadian Petroleum, Gulf Canada, Alberta Southern Gas, Royal Bank, Burnaby Art Gallery, Richmond Art Gallery and Art Bank. We are pleased to announce that the Estate of Betty Jean Drummond will continue to make her original etchings and monotypes available for purchase.
